Backyard Landscape Update – Acton

Backyard Landscape Update – Acton

We gave this old tired backyard a new fresh look. The stones needed to be re leveled and we created borders and design elements to catch the eye. The stairs were replaced and extended to create a landing for the bbq. A seating wall really created a nice feel to the yard. Landscape Lighting was also installed to invite you outside during the evening.

Before – Large Cedar trees used to close the area off. A old hot tub patio needed to be removed and the septic lids needed a solution to integrate into the landscape.

New and Improved Patio – Brussels block with a copthorne accent running in between created a nice border for the eye to follow. The seating wall closed off the seating area and creates a nice place for some landscape lights. The use of river rock and various grasses broke up the mulch look and covered up the septic lids nicely.

Now its time to enjoy some company with a nice cold drink.

Acton – Landscape Makeover

Yard Makeover – Acton

From front to back this property was changed. The client wanted things to be clean and low maintenance.

Pisa Retaining walls were placed around every flowerbed to maintain the mulch, eliminate edging and help create the curb appeal.

The front Walkway was replaced with Unilock’s Umbriano (Made in Georgetown) Winter Marvel Interlock with a black accent to really make it inviting, which continued into the backyard.

Before – A old deck and planting.

Backyard Landscaping

After the Demolition of the existing deck and planting was done. The base was all dug out and prepared for the interlock.  The footings for the posts as well as the concrete pad for the walls are installed. The Pergola top and frame were done after as well as the steps exiting the walkout.

All the stonework at this point has been finished. The Patio was installed with Thornbury – Almond Grove accented by Basalt Copthorne stone. The walls were created with Brussels Dimensional – Limestone with the Basalt Copthorne accent as well. The coping was Natural flagstone. Polymeric sand was swept in and watered to solidify.

This Front Entrance originally had 6 stairs right at the front. By creating various landings it created a nice curb appeal and made it a lot safer to get to the front door.

This job consisted of re-routing the drain pipes, Creating planters, unilock pathways followed by planting and mulching.

Pisa Granite was used for the walls. Brussel’s Block – Limestone with a Sandstone accent for the walkways.
